It'd be fair to say that I am currently in one of my running phases. And this morning, I just had this feeling that it was time to give Saigon another chance to join me on a leisurely run.

I let Saigon set the pace, and let him rest when he wanted to. But for the majority of the 40 minutes we were out of the house, we ran.

I know I can't expect Saigon to join me on all my runs, but it's days like today that make me grateful for every moment I get to spend with him.
And I'd by lying if I said Saigon hasn't been sleeping on the couch since we got home. But a tired dog is a happy dog.
And a happy dog is a happy mom :) I love the first picture!
ReplyDeleteThis is correct! :)
DeleteSaigon is huge but he's adorable! :) Glad he's up and running.
ReplyDeleteMe too, Leanne! :)
DeleteAww I love your Saigon posts. Glad he's able to do more running than before, even if he's not back up to his old running speeds.
ReplyDeleteThe bright side is, now he's totally pooped after a run like this, whereas before it took a lot more time and energy to tire him out ;)
DeleteAwww this makes me so happy! He is such a special dog and i am so thankful he is still able to run around :) Love the feet pic :)
ReplyDeleteME TOO!! Can you imagine if he only had 3 legs?! :(
DeleteAwe, yay! :D That's awesome that Saigon's doing so much better, Brie, and I bet he was happy for the awesome sleep that he had afterwards. ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ambur! It was a pretty great day :) He was EXHAUSTED the entire next day lol.
DeleteAww .... I love Saigon runs with you! I've taken mine for a run before and they're okay, but their noses really want to lead them off the path. My one little dog, Grace, knows exactly where we are and how to get back. She's pretty awesome -- if we're running through the paths behind our house and get turned around, she can lead us home. It's great!
ReplyDeleteI hope you can have more runs with Saigon!
Saigon's nose does a lot better when we're running actually! There's no time for him to sniff as he goes. Although, he does love to stop cold mid-run to "smell the roses" lol.
DeleteOh Grace - she seems like quite the sweetheart :) It would be so amazing to have paths behind our house!
I came across this post randomly, it was so cute to re-read and see you two together!
