Jim and I caught the red-eye to Halifax on Friday night. The hardest part about leaving is saying good-bye to Saigon. Fortunately, we left Saigon in good hands with my brother, who will be watching him while we are in Nova Scotia visiting my in-laws for 10 days. But anytime Jim and I have a planned trip coming up, I swear Saigon just
knows and he mopes around for days before we leave. Needless to say, we miss him already!

Saigon always has to go over our bags with a fine-tuned nose! |

Awe!! Well at least Saigon's in good hands! My dogs are the same way...even when went camping for Labour Day weekend, they were all worried thinking they wouldn't get to go, and then once they saw their stuff getting packed up they got all excited. haha But they totally do the same thing with sniffing the bags. :P
ReplyDeleteAlso, I hope that you have an awesome trip! :D
Yes, this is true! I don't think I'd be able to leave him in a kennel! Haha, I love all their crazy antics :)
Deleteahahahaha awe that's so cute! You heartless beast, you, leaving poor saigon all alone :p I hope you enjoy your trip! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, and bring him back a gift... gifts fix everything ;)
I know, I'm pretty sure I lost mother of the year award after this ;p
DeleteAwww... so sweet! When we were packing for Alberta last month, my cat kept climbing into the suitcase and digging all of our clothing back out. He'd then curl up in the empty suitcase as if to say, "Try packing again with me in the way!"
ReplyDeleteHahahaha, that's hilarious! Cats are pretty smart too - they know when something's up :)
DeleteOh my cuteness! That look on his face! How could you stand to leave him behind? Awe, hope you have a good trip anyways!!
ReplyDeleteSeriously, it's so hard to leave him behind. And everyday we're like "ahhh look at [insert something dogs like], I wish Saigon were here!" lol
DeleteAww ... poor Saigon! Though, my dogs are *kind of* the same. I say kind of because it really depends what we do with them when we go. If someone's staying at the house, they get upset, but if we bring them to my parent's place they're too excited to even notice that we leave. AND my mom takes them for a crazy amount of walks, so they're slightly spoiled there.
ReplyDeleteI remember when our oldest dog, Cooper, was little, I dropped him off at my brothers when my husband (then boyfriend) and I were going away and he CRIED AND CRIED! I felt horrible! But they're always SOO excited when we come home. :)
Hope you guys are having a great trip!! Maybe Saigon can go one day!
This is true - if you get to drop them off somewhere they love to be, then they are oblivious. It's the whole watching you pack up and leave without me that Saigon doesn't like. It doesn't help that we left him home alone while my brother drove us to the airport.
DeleteCrying is the worst though! Breaks my heart every time :( We'd love to take Saigon - but then it wouldn't *really* be a vacation, would it? ;p
Awwww he has the sweetest face! I used to always feel soo bad when i would leave him, even if it was just for a couple hours lol. So i know how you feel! That face is hard to leave behind...
ReplyDeleteI know, I miss him everyday! And there's so much cool stuff for him to do here! But it would be a lot of work to look after him here. At least he's in good hands :)
DeleteLook at that face! I'm seriously in love with your dog, I'm not even kidding! He is just so doggone adorable, how can you leave? His eyes just melt my heart, arghhhh. My dog has the exact same look and it just destroys me, I cannot stand it!
ReplyDeleteAwwww, he looks so sad in the last picture!! Have an awesome trip, Brie!!
